In 2002, Mike Burright realized that one family with two small children would not have a Christmas if he didn't assist. He asked friends, family, and acquaintances to donate toys, clothing, and household essentials. Mike wrapped the gifts, put on his Santa suit, and made the special delivery on Christmas Eve.
That year, one family was helped. In 2004, 55 families were helped. Today our goal is 200 families. The volunteers at Christmas Family Adoption Foundation commit their time and resources to raise funds for the holiday season. They manage the donations, shop for gifts, wrap presents, and make the deliveries just before Christmas. Many of these deliveries are done by Santa and his elves.
Drawn to his vision, eight colleagues joined Mike in 2010 to expand the program into a 501(c)(3) organization. All monetary donations are accounted for and handled by the foundation.
